SEO Implications with Google Instant Previews

After the release of Instant Search Google has now introduced Instant Previews that means website visitors will now be able to preview a websites content by placing the cursor over a small magnifying glass which will be placed next to each search listing.

This feature allows the searcher to view paragraphs and web pages via looking glass symbol on the search results pages.

The visitor can get a generalised look and feel of a site, its content and of course what information is on the site i.e. video and specific headlines. This puts a much greater emphasis on web design itself and of courser website optimisation which is great news for the ethical web design and search marketing companies.

Google intends to monitor the use of such a function and on whether anyone will actually use it remains to be seen.

Regardless of who uses it one thing is for certain is that this new feature could have some major implications on who gets the elusive “click through” so the stakes have never been higher on web based businesses to ensure there site is professionally built and of course, optimised.

But this ups the anti for website owners to make sure their sites are above the rest and up to speed by way of design, content relevance and optimised by professionals.

So does this mean no more back clicks?

Overall I think this is a brilliant piece of search business by Google as there is so many well optimised websites that may not have the budget of your big players to get onto the top 5 search results.

Just how much of an impact on search this will have remains to be seen.

Is this the return of PPC?

Its no coincidence that you have been getting all of this google adword vouchers through the post if your an adword account holder, and google was never going to give up its Billion Dollar revenue stream without introducing a little teaser to bring it straight back into the fold.

So if you are in the 10th position within the organic rankings you are now in with just as much of a chance on converting the client as positions no1.
